Relaxation is the opposite of stress and anxiety. Therefore, it is important for everyone to discover the right relaxation technique for themselves and integrate it into their everyday life.

Do one or more of the following keywords apply to you…?

Exhausted, stressed, constantly tired, worn out, irritable, thoughts circling, listless, oversensitive, anxious, forgetful, physical pain without any diagnosis, frustrated, whiny, panicked...

And you haven’t found a relaxation training for yourself yet?

From the following relaxation techniques, we will determine together the relaxation option that is most suitable for you:

  • PMR = Progressive muscle relaxation according to Jacobsen

PMR can improve the ability to cope with everyday stress, strengthen health and increase quality of life. The doctor Edmund Jakobsen recognized back in the 1930s that the mind and body influence each other. Mental tension (worry, fear, anger...) leads to greater muscle tension - and conversely, loosening of the muscles goes hand in hand with mental relaxation.

  • Autogenic training according to JH Schultz

Autogenic training was developed around 1920 by the neurologist Prof. HJ Schultz. It consists exclusively of self-suggestions, in which the desired body perceptions are suggested. The groundbreaking discovery was that every person can influence their body functions through their imagination alone. The switching of physical and vegetative functions (such as blood circulation, pulse rate, breathing) is put into a relaxed state of rest. In a broader sense, autogenic training can be classified as a psychotherapy procedure.

  • Imaginationen nach Luise Reddemann

Imagination has been and is used in many cultures in a religious context. It was introduced into psychotherapy by Carl Gustav Jung and expanded and specialized by Luise Reddemann in 2003. Imagination has become very important in psychotherapy in recent years. With the help of one's own imagination, it is possible to control uncontrolled images that are experienced as threatening and to counteract them with good ideas of one's own. This can reactivate one's own resources and self-healing powers and achieve more stability, security and an improved way of dealing with frightening situations.

Note for you: I would like to point out that as a natural health practitioner, limited to the field of psychotherapy, I am not allowed to make any promises of healing. A visit to my practice is in no way a substitute for treatment by a doctor. Since many psychological symptoms can also have a physical cause, it is necessary to have the symptoms clarified by your GP or specialist!
